Where to Use Type in an Organization

The third in a four part series

All organizations have strengths and weaknesses, but they don't always see them...or at least they don't always see the weaknesses.  After all, a blind spot is called a "blind" spot for a reason...continue reading

        Your Parenting Strengths

Type & Tykes - Extraverted Thinking

~

We thought you might enjoy seeing type come alive in kids.  We know we love it!  Check back each month for more stories, and start to recognize type in the children in your life.

3-year-old Laura was spending time with her grandmother when she looked at her and said, "Grandma, this summer we've got to go to the zoo, go to the park, and go on the boat...but I won't get to decide."

May Brain Teaser

No tricks, no intended mental torture - just something to get (or keep) your mind working.

~

A family is in distress on an island.  They must go to the mainland.  They have a rowboat, but it can only hold 90kg.  They cannot swim.  The dad weighs 85kg, the mom weighs 65kg, the son weighs 45kg, the daughter weighs 40kg, and the dog weighs 8kg.

~

How do they get to the mainland?

Hint

I give up

I figured it out!  (But just to be sure...)

Workshops with Dr. John Beebe

~

Whether or not you're attending our exclusive workshop, Developing the Eight Mental Functions, in May with renowned Jungian Analyst Dr. John Beebe, you can attend our other 2008 workshop with Dr. Beebe in October.  The focus will be different than the workshop in May and will expand on the workshop we conducted with Dr. Beebe last year.

~

If you want to learn how the different functions react to one another in different positions, then our October workshop is for you.  For instance, if your dominant function is Extraverted iNtuition (e.g. ENFP), how will individuals who have Extraverted iNtuition as an auxiliary function react when you use it (e.g. INFP)?  What about individuals who have it in the tertiary position (e.g. ESTJ)?  How about individuals who prefer Introverted iNtuition rather than Extraverted iNtuition (e.g. INFJ)?  What about individuals who tend to dislike Extraverted iNtuition more than any other function and generally prefer not to use it (e.g. ESTP)?  How do they react?  Learn about reactions to all the functions in this exclusive workshop.  Unlike our May workshop, our October workshop with Dr. Beebe will have no restrictions based on type code.  Exact dates and location are yet to be determined.  Please check our 2008 schedule frequently for updated date and location information.

Email us and tell us you want to know the dates and locations of Dr. John Beebe's workshops as soon as we do.
